1,000...
I hit 1,000 text messages last month for the first time since I purchased the 1,000-message package for my phone. I'm embarassed and ashamed.
I would usually hit in the high 700s or even 800 if I was involved with someone who loved to text. Now it's like all of the friends that I keep daily contact with just text and text and text and text.
I hate text messaging, I hate cell phones altogether. Mine is basic. It doesn't take pictures, it doesn't surf the web, it doesn't include a nifty keyboard, it barely works indoors.
Why do we text so much? And what's with this anxiety of getting that text returned IMMEDIATELY. I swear I had six texts in a matter of 20 minutes yesterday and four of them were of the "Hey, are you there?" variety.
