Finally My Two Projects in Motion
I feel pretty good today. Dave and I have Press Style actually going somewhere. We've got the site under construction, we've got the information, we've got our gameplan down. That's the most important part of the process, having a game plan and executing it.
It's a lot of hard work, but hard work doesn't particularly bother me. The potential success is always the drive. We only work hard when we anticipate success. If a project has a 50% chance of succeeding people only seem to put a 50% of their full work effort into it.
Press Style is probably a little below 50%, it's tough creating software for the journalism profession, harder than one might think. However, I'm at a stage where I figure...What the hell? We'll try it, I'll pitch it to my boss in hopes of him giving us references. I actually could care less if my paper invested, I'd rather them not but I want my boss' references. If he could give me ten leads I could capitalize on them.
As for my second project. I really can't talk about it. But I spent about three hours working on that today. Overall I put in seven hours of work on an off day. It wasn't always fun, heck a lot of it is quite tedious. But I'm trying to work now so that I don't have to later.
Now back to the books.

It's All About R-Dub
I miss Ralph Wiley already. I miss the fact that he'll know longer be sharing words with me and the rest of his readers. I regret the fact that I won't get to see him in a week and tell me how much I enjoyed his columns and how much I appreciated him teaching me
why black people tend to shout.
I miss him and I can't wait to share his words with my father.
