Putting Me to Sleep
They say sleep is the cousin' of death
So my eyes wide open cuz a dream is kin to ya last breath

Just one quick thing about Hurricane Katrina and the government's reaction. It took Congress less than a day to convene during a holiday weekend to sign a Terri Schaivo bill. It will take the same Congress five days since the Hurricane struck the coast to convene from a break to discuss hurricane efforts. I guess it just depends on what you think is important.
And I will say thanks to Houston and San Antonio for stepping up. I sent an email to the mayor of both cities patting them on the back.
Moving on.
I have a sleeping disorder. After way too long of ignoring this I'm finally starting to get treatment, which includes this very unattractive mask that will supposedly help my breathing at rest.
My disorder is unknown, it's probably a severe form a sleep apnea and it's caused most of my narcolepsy and major loss of energy.
I snore very loud. Because I don't get the type of sleep I'm supposed to get at night, I tend to sloth through most of the day. I can sleep on a couch at a friend's house during the middle of the afternoon easier than I can in my bad at night.
Usually when I tell people that I have a disorder and it includes narcolepsy, they laugh. Trust me, there's nothing funny about it. It's a horrible feeling to not be able to sleep at night. It's a mental block that I can't push around, it's a physical shortfall that I am trying to overcome.
And it's my fault that I didn't have this looked at much sooner in life. I mean I've had sleeping oddities since birth. Thankfully going through this medical process has made me realize that a lot of people go through what I go through and there are a lot of doctors out there who can help people like me.
It's been a learning experience and with the help of a big, ugly breathing mask I'm looking forward to getting some long-awaited rest real soon.

Pablo, I appreciate your affection, but if you hadn't noticed, this bull is trying to kill me.
