I guess so.
It's amazing how quickly two weeks can fly by when you aren't paying attention. I knew I hadn't written in a while when Maese asked if I was ok (which I am). I also haven't read anyone so I'll catch up on Mudge's flirtations with possibly married chicks and Brent's recent ramblings and I might even read Maese's latest column. Who knows?
There's no real reason for a two-week sabbatical other than I was sick of writing and I had nothing good to report. Continuing to talk about a struggling job situation and the government was getting too depressing so I talked to myself and I said 'self, you're not coming back until you've got good news to report'. Fair enough, so after googling 'Ann Coulter single car wreck with fatality' and hoping for the best, I saw this:
I know it's not nice to make fun of others marital problems but who isn't happy to see these two clowns detach before kids became part of the equation.
I've also been addicted to this MTV show about these bratty girls getting Sweet 16 parties. I'll be honest when I say that if I ever run into money, I'm going to be hoping for male children. My goodness I don't know how some of these girls don't get backhanded....hard. And they are all 'divas' or 'princesses', it's just sickening I say.
There is, however, a bright spot in every show like the last one I saw where the girl was bawling because she failed her driving test and couldn't get her new BMW all while the guy from the DMV was telling her to get up so the line could keep moving. The DMV might be the one place where they don't give a shit who you are.
I've been reading the new Kurt Vonnegut, it's been a incredible 82-year journey for the man and I felt like I owed it to him to read what may be his final words. He never lost his edge and he never stopped battling the minions.
And I just came back from visiting my parents and I got a lot of free stuff. I got an almost-new laptop, a portable DVD player, a 24 DVD pack on World War II which I'm going to give to Cam as a late birthday gift (keep your $30), a Louis Vuitton wallet and all kinds of other stuff. On the flip side I did buy a $70 dinner so it's not like I was completely useless. I love visiting my parents though, we have a lot of fun. I never get to stay long enough.
Thanks to the Jets injuries, the first four weeks of the NFL season have been grueling to say the least and I hope Boston and New York lose in the MLB playoffs. Both teams have gone way past the acceptable annoyance level.
I'll write again tomorrow...or the next day...I promise.
