Clearing the Head...
....yeah yeah it's been a while. Get off my back ok!
I finally see what Chris Rock was talking about in his autobiography -- I embrace the clutter in my head. I personally feel like clearing the mind is slightly overrated. Sure it might make you sleep better but the only person that appears to have a clear mind is President Bush.
But in my profession I think the clutter in my head is a necessity. As the editor of any sort of publication you embrace the clutter, you embrace the constant chaos and numbers and jumbled mess that sits around in your head waiting to unleash itself at the exact moment of deadlines.
Unfortunately this clutter keeps me from doing the important things in life, like...breathing and communicating with my friends or the people that act friendly towards me.
But for this temporary moment I'm back, if only to wonder if I'm supposed to celebrate
the life or Jerry Falwell or celebrate
his death. Who knows really? Plus I haven't read any of
Jill's tales in over a month and promised
Kathryn I'd catch up with her a week ago.
