The Straight Line...
I have to get into drawing again. People might be surprised by this but I was quite the aspiring artist in my younger days. I used to draw caricatures of my classmates during my pysch class in high school. It was an easy class. The capitalist in me thinks I should've charged people.
However, I haven't drawn anything in almost 10 year, but my co-worker did a story on David O'Keefe last week and after visiting his website I decided to start trying to draw again.
Drawing is a little different than riding a bike for me, I've completely lost my touch. A few nights ago I bought a cheapo sketch pad and some pencils (and a pencil sharpener) just to start sketching simple things like logos and letters, etc. Right now my biggest problem is a straight line.
And it's a bit frustrating. I used to be able to draw off of a picture, good stuff too. I think all this golf I play has ruined all of my other skills. I need to take up archery again too.
Nonetheless I'm enjoying the few minutes a night doodling, if I come up with something worthwhile I might scan it and display it. Although I wouldn't expect anything soon considering a can't even draw a line.
