Thoughts on Gainesville...
Well it's been a few days since that olive branch was extended and here are some thoughts from the people I've talked to.
"Oh no. Please don't move back there. There's nothing but a college and farmland," -- Mom
"Doesn't sound like a smart career move, my lad," -- Dad
"You have NFL, NBA, Spring Training, NHL, two airports and a lot of things close by...Gainesville is the Gators," -- Slick Rick
"I hope you don't go, but you gotta do when you gotta do," -- Dick
"You don't want to be a fucking administrator and put up with that bullshit. You're a columnist, that's your talent and that's what you need to be concentrating on," -- Rousos
Needless to say, there hasn't been a groundswell of support for Hogtown yet.
