Top 10 Hair Band Jams (#3)
3. Warrant -- "Heaven": This was originally going to be "Cherry Pie" but when Kellie questioned the status of Tesla, I knew I needed a true blue power ballad to round this countdown out.
So what can be said about Warrant that hasn't already been said about Republicans, Bill O'Reilly, castor oil and anything else that sucks? Another L.A.-based glam metal band that was heavy into groupies, drugs, alcohol, fights with other bands (especially Poison...did anyone not in Poison actually like Poison?).
That being said I can't argue with success and songs that made me long for the early days of high school. "Heaven" would be one of those and while it doesn't have the same memories of "Love Song" (ahhh Jenny Gough), it is the ultimate power ballad (yes it's better than "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and no I will not argue that).
Apparently Warrant is still doing their thing but without lead vocalist Jani Lane, which technically means the band is extinct since Warrant IS friggin Jani Lane!
Anyway we're going to switch up the videos and give you a LIVE performance from the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. Enjoy
