...The title really should give it away.

After following the "Coolest Home Office" contest on Lifehacker, I have decided to do something interesting with my extra home/office space.

However, I have zero creativity unlike my friend the very talented Kathryn Stuart, (who is SELLING HER PAINTINGS!!! ) and I figure I must go to my crew to get help...

The room is a basic spare bedroom. Probably 11.5 x 11 or thereabouts. The walls are white and bare (although I have some sports-related art that would probably go there), there's a sleeper sofa in there and a shitty tall lamp....Oh yeah a nice window too..

Otherwise, it's open...Now here's what needs to be on my desk...

Two laptops
A high-speed modem (with a hub connection so both computers can feed off the juice)
A printer
Storage for files
Place for stationary

Not much else...I hate clutter with a passion and I don't need a wireless connection because I like to keep the rest of the house computer free.

Now help me! And this includes the colors of the walls too and the kind of art that should be hung up. I want this room to say "office" but feel like home..

Also the floors are hardwood. Do I need an area rug?
